The 2015 season is a wrap! We had some great successes, a few failures, and a lot of fun. So what did I accomplish all summer?
1) I learned how not to trap and ID small mammals in Grand Canyon!!! Genetics here we come....

2) We earned many blisters, scrapes, and bruises- but we conducted over 23 site visits and detected 11 owl pairs! We even found some youngsters.
3) Field work is better when you have friends.
After such a great season, I am back in Gainesville, FL for my first semester as a PhD student. I am stoked to take the momentum from this season and finish my proposal this semester. I will really start to explore the questions I have about canyon ecology and plan a field season that will top even 2015!
